The '06 Tecumsehs travelled to Tecumseh Ontario from May 31st to June 2nd for their first OBA Tournament of the Season. This 'AA" Tournament featured a strong field consisting of teams from all over Ontario.
The team finished the rain shortened round robin portion of play with 3 wins and 0 losses while only giving up 1 run.
The semi finals on Sunday featured a very solid Thornhill team who played a great game. Solid pitching and timely hitting propelled the Tecumsehs into their first final of the year.
In the finals they met North York who came ready to play. The LT bats woke up in the 2nd inning and when the dust settled they put an 8 spot on the board. Behind more solid pitching and great at bats the '06 Tecumsehs captured their first title of 2019!
It took a total team effort and the boys showed a ton of heart, hustle and energy - what a great start to the season!
A huge Thank You to the town of Tecumseh for hosting such a great tournament - they deserve a lot of praise for how the tournament ran, the field conditions and how they handled the weather. Great job!
Also Thank you to the Parents, Friends and Family members of this team for their time and dedication to these players. It was a great weekend of bonding for everyone involved!
