Talons Look to Rebound in Week Ahead
Following a tough 9-1 defeat at the hands of the TinCaps on May 25th, the 18U Talons will have plenty of chances to rebound this week.
Wednesday night at Labatt Park, the Talons took on the London West TinCaps in the first matchup of the the crosstown rivals this season. With Devon MacDonald-Keeling on the mound, the Talons took an early 1-0 lead. Unfortunately, the defence faultered behind MacDonald-Keeling and Logan Peddell, who came on in relief and the LT squad fell by a score of 9-1. A chance to bounce back the next night against the 16U Midwestern Ontario Bearcats was washed away by rain.
This week, the Talons play their first three-game week of the season, giving them plenty of chances to get back into the win column. That kicks off with a home-and-home against the Badgers (2-1) on Monday, as the Talons host the Badgers at Labatt at 8:30, then travel to Aldridge Field on Wednesday at 6:00pm. Thursday night, the boys in blue are slated to make their first trip to Kitchener of the year to face Midwestern Ontario (1-1) after the rainout last week. First pitch of that game goes at 7:30.
