A
fun day was had by all as the London Tecumsehs Minor Peewee team, along with
the Major Rookie team, combined their practice time last Saturday to run a
mini-hitting clinic.
Between the two teams and a few siblings, twenty kids worked their way through five hitting stations on a hot Saturday morning at Kiwanis Park. With the help of the Minor Peewee and Major Rookie coaches and some parent volunteers, the clinic moved along without a hitch. From high-tees to low-tees to plank drills to live hitting off the pitching machine, the kids were treated to some valuable hitting instruction and advice. The session concluded with an eventful wiffleball game that was highlighted by the power-and-speed combo displayed by a couple of 6 year olds, Abby and Benny.
The kids then cooled off afterwards as they enjoyed a swim and a BBQ.
