Major Mosquitos win Cardinal Classic
The London Tecumsehs Major Mosquito Baseball Club went 5-0 this past weekend to win the St. Thomas Cardinal Classic in convincing fashion.
In round robin play the Tecumsehs were victorious over Burlington 8-3, Pickering 11-7, and Bloordale 20-0.
This set them up for what stood to be the toughest battle of the weekend vs Halton Hills, winning by a narrow margin of 7-5.
In the finals the Tecumsehs played their ferocious team game to overwhelm the two time defending champion Cardinals 18-6.
The team has started their season 11-0 over 9 days and everyone has contributed to its' success, including parents, families and coaches.
The team now plans to have a restful week and get back at it against the defending LDBA Champs Oakridge Tincaps Wednesday June 6 at CNRA park.
